How to Stop Android Apps from Running in the Background

All apps are installed in their default settings. They require your permission to access certain items and functions on your phone, but if you deny those permissions the app won't install.

But there are certain things you can control like moving them to SD card, disabling them (unless rooted, then you can get rid of them), and PREVENT them from running in the background to lessen the draining of your battery /eating up data!

1) Locate your phone settings:
2) Click on "Apps"
3) Click on any App: (I will use eFresh App for this example)
4) Check the "Mobile Data" section on the App:

5) Turn off the "Allow Background Data Usage" function:

6) Do this for All Apps to keep them from running when you're not using them!

*when Apps update, they will divert to default state, so you will have to do this every time they update!
